Floating Lamp

Angela Jansen has reinvented the standard lamp. The design evokes memories of old fashioned lamps, but when you see the floating part, you realize this is designed for the future. The lamp consists out of a handcrafted wooden base with a high glossy black finish. Attached is a stylish black fabric covered power cable. The conical shaped lampshade is manufactured in matt black fabric with a pearl white inner sid furnishing. The light flows through the openings of the mirror which covers the lower part of the lampshade. $980 via goodsie.com

WineHive

The WineHive is an eco-friendly modular honeycomb wine rack, with infinite add-on capability. It’s extruded from recyclable aluminum, and will be manufactured right here in the USA. The WineHive is made with just a single part, that repeats itself to form an infinite array of honeycomb structures. A WineHive “pack” consists of 12 parts. It can form a 5 bottle wine rack (above), or combine with other packs to form larger configurations. The more packs you have, the more configurations you can make. From $25, a kickstarter product, via John Paulick.
